About the builders.
I'm 20, based in California, and somewhere between a business student and a sysadmin. I got into computers by taking them apart, started fixing other people's machines, and eventually turned that into a business building custom PCs. Outside of school I'm in the homelab, running Linux on things it wasn't supposed to run on, and writing about it. At Ctrl+Alt+Elite, I handle the builds, testing, shipping, and the systems that keep the shop running. I care about clean cable management, good thermals, and making sure every rig leaves the bench ready to game. When I'm not working on school or the business, I'm usually experimenting with new hardware, optimizing workflows, or learning something I can apply to the next build.
I'm 19, an MIS student based in California with a passion for technology that caught fire quickly once I was exposed to the environment. What started with IT self-study and tinkering with hardware turned into operating a PC business full-time, experimenting with Linux, networking, self-hosting, and building out a homelab just to see what I could make work. At the intersection of business and IT, I'm interested in how technology actually works — and how it can be used to solve real problems. When I'm not working on school or computers, I'm usually stuck in my room learning/building projects, or writing and reading about technology and theology.
We started Ctrl+Alt+Elite in 2023 — building and selling locally, then expanding into full online commerce. Every rig is still built by hand, tested, and shipped from California.
The Rig Mentor.
A site built by Taylor. Seven PC-building mentors in one place: compatibility checks, tailored build quotes, troubleshooting workflows, ranked upgrade plans, multi-category rig scoring, component comparisons, and jargon-free articles. Every answer explains the reason, not just the result.
Also running FlipBench.io.
A site Jason built to help beginner PC flippers plan and spec their builds. Pick any GPU, CPU, and motherboard combo from used-market pricing and FlipBench checks compatibility, flags combos that are hard to sell, and projects resale after fees and shipping.
- Spec the build before you buy
